SRT334i is used to build an infrastructure for geo-positioning in environments where standard systems for these purposes do not work or are unreliable. In technical terms SRT334i is a portable RF equipment with support for duplex communication on the 2.4 GHz ISM band. It is used for positioning purposes by acting as an RF tag (see next section for further explanation of this terminology). The coverage area for the device can be adjusted in order to best fit the local environment where it is installed. Operating frequencies can be adjusted so that multiple networks can be used within the same area without interference. In other words, SRT334i enables you to create flexible positioning networks over which you have full control.

SRT334i works with all products in SRT’s i-series: SRT306i, SRT326i and SRT330i2.

RF tag

Each RF tag may be programmed with fixed position information which is broadcast to all compatible SRT alarm units within the transmission range. The information sent from the SRT334i is a custom text string. The text string can be formatted as a GPS coordinate which will make the resulting alarm message generated in the alarm device look like a regular alarm.

Sabotage detection

SRT334i detects and reports tampering attempts, power outages and critical battery levels to any nearby alarm units. Such status notifications may optionally be monitored by an SRT330i2 or SRT’s IPS management equipment (sold separately).
