Quick and easy protection with SRT290
A motion detector alarm is a unit equipped with an infrared detector that registers movement in its sorroundings. The SRT290 is a combined GSM/motion detector alarm that is easy to carry around and ideal for quickly setting up an alarm system for a certain area or object. The built in infrared detector is capable of detecting movement at a distance of 7 meters. SRT290 can be configured to send alarms to an emergency service center, a private phone number or both. The unit allows up to three preset numbers.
If connected to an emergency service center, the SRT290 sends an alarm to the service center while at the same time a voice call is set up to an operator on the other end who can then listen in on the situation. There is also a possibility to record the conversation. Depending on the scenario the emergency service center operator takes action to ensure proper aid is provided.
The unit is wireless which makes placing it easy. It also makes it ideal for areas with a need for a temporary alarm. At the end of the day the alarm can be turned off either through the on/off switch or remotely by sending the proper text message. SRT290 is ideal for use in containers, construction areas, hotel rooms, warehouses, offices and around heavy equipment.
In addition to the infrared detector, the SRT290 is also equipped with a vibration sensor which acts as a complementary detection mechanism for environments with obscured vision. Optionally, the SRT290 can be equipped with a temperature sensor giving the user the possibility to remotely observe temperature changes either by sending an SMS to the unit or configuring it to notify the user if the temperature changes outside a pre-defined interval.
The SRT290 can draw power from either the power grid or the internal battery. If no external power source is available, the user can choose to run the unit on a number of different low consumption modes. By switching GSM to sleep mode and keeping the infrared detector active, the unit reaches a one moth standby time.
