Fleet Management products from SRT

With fleet management products from Scandinavian Radio Technology it is easy to supervise and control an organization’s vehicle fleet. SRT’s fleet management product line consists of the GSM/GPRS unit SRT AVANT Fleet and the additional Fleet System.

SRT AVANT Fleet is a compact GSM/GPRS unit with built in GPS receiver, equipped with a series of alarm and report possibilities. AVANT Fleet is designed for in-vehicle installation and offers, among others, the following possibilities:

• Alarm: By pushing the alarm button a message is sent to an emergency service center carrying information about the distressed individual and his/her geoposistion. Concurrently a voice call is place so that the emergency service center operator can get a better insight into the situation.
• Tracking: A position request can be done at any time by sending an SMS. The AVANT Fleet responds by sending an SMS containing the current or most recent geoposition. The unit can also be set to continuously report its positions through GPRS.
• GeoFencing: When using the GeoFencing function the unit sends an alarm if the vehicle travels outside a predefined area. GeoFencing is a concept where the geographical freedom of movement is restricted by defining a center point and a radius, resulting in a circular area within where the vehicle can move freely. As soon as the outer limit of the area is passed, however, an alarm is sent.
• Car burglar alarm: Connect the AVANT Fleet to the car burglar alarm and receive an SMS if the alarm should be set off.
• Breath alcohol ignition interlock device: Connect the AVANT Fleet to a breath alcohol ignition interlock device and receive an SMS if the driver should give a positive result.

To further facilitate fleet management the Fleet System service can be used. The service allows you to get a unified view of all vehicles’ positions in the fleet equipped with the AVANT Fleet and gives you the possibility to asses what vehicle is most suited to make a delivery at any given moment. The service also offers vehicle history information including where the vehicle started and stopped and a detailed route description for any given time period, be it a day, week or month as well as generate drivers logs for that specific time period. If the AVANT Fleet is equipped with the proper switch the driver of the vehicle can also choose whether the trip should be logged as private or work related, giving the possibility to create a drivers log with separation of private and work related mileage. With one of the most competitive prices on the market the Fleet system service is also an investment with a short payback period.
